| Mating Details: | Beewhisker chose Kestrelswipe due to the massive amount of respect they have for him. They think of him as noble and selfless. Besides not having any toms that they see fit in the clan, Beewhisker wishes for their kits to grow up to be good cats, and they think with Kestrelswipe as a role model and a father, they will be more likely to grow up as good or even great warriors.
Kestrelswipe agrees to sire the litter despite the distance and difference in clan because he sees it mostly as doing Beewhisker a favor. He holds great respect for them, and wants to help them out with this desire they’ve had since he met them.
To see their progression towards having a litter: Kestrelswipe and Beewhisker meet officially, and discuss each other’s clan lives. Kestrelswipe and Beewhisker build on their friendship established from the gathering, speaking more about their personal lives rather than clan politics. Kestrelswipe and Beewhisker meet on the border, and Beewhisker’s willingness to help save Kestrelswipe from a swarm of wasps makes him appreciate them more. All clan politics are forgotten (except for Larchpaw’s questions), and the two cats focus more on their own relationship. Beewhisker meets with Kestrelswipe to formally ask to have a litter.
