Blurry Vision | |
Description: | The sight of the patient is blurred to some extent. The more severe the blurring, the less likely it is that the patient will recover full vision. To determine the loss of vision the medicine cat should lay out a series of sticks in a distinct pattern. The patient should then be provided with sticks in the same lengths and numbers and be instructed to replicate the pattern from 10 paces. |
Treatment: | Flush the eye(s) well, checking for damage to the surface of the eye(s). Eyes with surface damage are generally a lost cause, but very prone to infection so measures should be taken to prevent it. For undamaged eyes, measures can be taken to encourage full recovery of vision. |
