PSA #19 – Feral, Semi-feral, & Domestic Ranks

As of a few minuets ago I realized that the old announcement explaining the Feral, Semi-feral and Domestic Ranks wasn’t actively recorded anywhere on this website. Which is not a good thing. Think PSA’s purpose is to correct that oversight.

DOMESTIC: This Clanless rank is in place to represent those cats who are expressly pets to humans they generally refer to as ‘Housefolk’. These cats do not hunt for their own food or attend to arranging their own protection from the elements. These cats live directly with humans as pets.

SEMI-FERAL: This Clanless rank is in place to represent those cats who are not afraid of or fully separated from humans, but do not consider themselves attached to humans in any way. These cats usually arrange for their own feeding and protection from the elements, but are not above taking human handouts. These cats typically live on their own in human settlements.

FERAL: This Clanless rank is in place to represent those cats who are fully separated from humans, and generally go out of their way to avoid contact with them. These cats arrange for their own feeding and protection from the elements, and are above taking human handouts in all but the most desperate circumstances. These cats typically live well away from human settlements.
