Appearance

Short Description :

A mid-furred pale grey she-cat with amber eyes

Long Description :

A tall silvery grey she-cat of medium size, with a medium coat. She has deep amber colored eyes, a long tail, an arching nose bridge, and sharply pointing ears. She carries herself with elegance and grace, always neatly wrapping her tail around her paws when sitting, and keeping a polite, friendly look about her. She probably has some Russian Blue or Korat breed ancestry, but it’s been rather diluted.

Personality

She is a calm and competant warrior, and likes to flex both her strength and elegance. She keeps a lighthearted approach to most things, always preferring to keep the mood jovial rather than the stricter dispositions of her clanmates. She might tease and play small games while out hunting, but when necessary, she can be serious, even deadly so. She will fiercely defend her clan and clanmates at any cost, and is not afraid to draw blood if needed.

Full History :

Heronkit was born in the Moon of Turning Leaves (2018), and spent most of her youngest moons outside playing in the snow, always enjoying digging out scoops and pouncing on prey-shaped snow sculptures. She was a bubbly and curious kit, constantly asking warriors and elders for stories of adventures and great battles. At every opportunity, she practiced battle and hunting moves with high energy, and her mother had to work to calm her down each night before sleeping.

As an apprentice, Heronpaw was excited to get out and explore the territory with her mentor. She soon learned, however, that her energy often scared off prey while hunting–something that she was repeatedly chewed out for. Still, she found her fun while occasionally being able to explore the muddy swamp lands of her territory as she collected moss for den nests, and convincing her fellow apprentices to sneak out at night to the old burnt sycamore for some extra climbing practice.

She progressed well, dutifully listening to her mentor as she grew up and practiced better control over herself and her movements. That control honed her into the elegant she-cat she became. Soon, she was able to stalk prey completely silent, and practice diverse battle moves capitalizing on her speed and agility. This growth in her skill set impressed her mentor enough to consider her ready to become a warrior.

Upon being made a warrior, Heronsong lived up to the grace she’d cultivated in herself. She had matured into a calmer adult, though she struggled internally with the idea that teasing and games were kit things only. So, she tried to force herself to be strict and serious like most of her other clanmates, but found it soon making her feel dreary every time she held her tongue. Soon enough, however, drought and harsh leaf-bare brought desperate times to all the clans. Heronsong resolved that in the depths of darkness is when cats can use a little good-natured humor to help them get through rough times.

Heronsong has remained a steadfast, cheerful warrior for Shadowclan all her life. She acts with wisdom beyond her years, and is always willing to help out with apprentice training, even if the apprentice is not her own. Importantly, she makes time for the kits of Shadowclan, entertaining them with games and treating them like the great warriors she’ll know they’ll become.

The recent deaths popping up around the clan territories trouble her deeply, and in these recent moons she struggles to find cheeriness. She is fearful of letting any cat wander alone, and volunteers to keep watch over the camp at night more often than she really needs to.

  1. There’s only one thing I was a bit skeptical on.

History: “Still, she found her fun while occasionally being able to explore the muddy swamp lands of her territory as she collected moss for den nests, and sneaking out at night to the old burnt sycamore for some climbing practice. Unfortunately, she was only able to sneak out once before and her fellow apprentices who’d accompanied her were discovered upon their return to camp and were thus confined to assisting in the medicine cat den for the next week.”

It implies that she snuck out multiple times, but then you said she only did it once – and that was the first time and last time because she got caught sneaking out. If it was only a first time offence I doubt they’d restrict her to assisting in the medicine cats den, which would have been part of her duties as an apprentice in the first place. Unless something dangerous happened during this first sneak away or she was caught breaking the warrior’s code, I doubt she’d be punished. When you change, or elaborate further on this instance, I’ll give it a second look.

    Fabulous start!
