A longhaired, curly coated, silver, broken mackerel she-cat with pale green eyes

Cinderwisp is a dainty, long-legged silver broken mackerel tabby molly with a narrow, pointed face and a sleek, wiry build. Her fur is long, plush, and curly, flowing in soft waves across her lithe frame, giving her a windswept look even in stillness. The curls extend to her whiskers, which coil slightly at the ends, and to the tufts crowning her tall, expressive ears. Her face tapers into a sharp muzzle, lending her an alert and clever expression. Her eyes, a vivid oval-shaped green, appear to have a yellow-ish shimmer to them in light.

An ambitious molly with a fiery spark, she’s quick to throw herself into action, especially if it has something to do with RiverClan. Cinderwisp will stop at (almost) nothing to get to her desired goal. While she wouldn’t take a life unless it were in self-defence she is more than happy to spend night upon night training to achieve her desired goal. This was evident in her days as an apprentice as she pushed herself to work hard so she could “protect her home”. Part of this is due to the belief that she has to make up for her brother’s illness that she has to be as strong as two cats for RiverClan. However, she doesn’t blame Tangleloon the slightest. In fact, the molly considers him her one weakness because she’d give everything for him. But nobody knows that. 

Indifferent and stoic on the outside, Cinderwisp doesn’t like to give anything away, the she-cat’s eyes often unblinking and emotionless. Growing up, she watched and learned from her mentor, namesake, and great-aunt Cinderwhisper, aspiring to be just like the molly who stood for so long, who refused to retire. Cinderpaw learned to be clever and resourceful; To think things through before she did something. But she didn’t have all day. So she learned to think quickly. Think quickly so that the enemy couldn’t attack first, so that the bird wouldn’t fly away, so that RiverClan would stay safe, so that RiverClan wouldn’t go hungry.

Cinderwisp doesn’t see a point in mingling with other clans outside of doing so for professional reasons. So she doesn’t. However, she will check in on clanmates from time to time. Physcial health isn’t the only aspect of health. There was also mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health and for a cat to do well, they had to have good health in all aspects. This does not mean she’s at all talkative though. Along with this, the molly enjoys a challenge and often shows strong support for the authority figures of RiverClan, believing that they were chosen for a reason so she should do as they say; And learn from them.

To summarise some of her positive traits, Cinderwisp is extremely rule-oriented along with being fiercely loyal and logical. However being logical didn’t mean that you couldn’t be sympathetic. Cinderwisp wishes to improve RiverClan and make them the best and to do that one must understand the feelings of their clanmates.

[Kitten 0-5 Moons]

Cinderkit was born to Doubleclaw and Fogdrift along with Tanglekit. Unlike her brother though she didn’t ask questions. Instead, she liked to try to watch and listen to learn the answer, only asking questions if she couldn’t figure things out. She never questioned her brother’s behaviour though, seeing it as normal so, from her mother, she had also learned to indulge in her brother’s oddities. The molly didn’t really care that Fogdrift was a distant sire. After all, this was normal for a lot of families. Him being a good cat was enough for her. 

[Apprentice 6-12 Moons]

Cinderpaw was a tad surprised when Blodstar apprenticed her to Cinderwhisper. Her namesake. Though she had nothing against it. She saw how despite the molly’s old age, she remained strong and standing. Perhaps she could teach Cinderpaw some tricks. In the beginning of apprenticeship, things were a little bit more relaxed as she was no longer confined in the nursery, she got to know more of her clanmates past her parents and littermate. Despite this, however, she still spent a majority of her free time at Tanglepaw’s side, more than happy to be his comfort after a long day of training. 

However, later on in her apprenticeship, Cinderpaw learned to focus. She knew that if she wanted to be ready by the time she was twelve moons old, she had to work hard. Time didn’t stop. Not for anybody. So, during this time, Cinderpaw spent a little less time with her peers and a little more time training and Cinderwhisper, with nothing much else to do, was more than happy to help out her apprentice. Cinderwhisper was the right amount of kind and stern, allowing Cinderpaw to feel encouraged but also to work harder however, when the molly saw that her brother was struggling. She hesitated. She wanted to graduate together with him.

[Warrior 13-17 Moons]

Despite the molly’s desires to postpone her ceremony due to her desire to graduate alongside her brother, most cats encouraged her to not wait. “He’ll catch up.” They told her. “He wouldn’t want you to hold yourself back for him.” others had said. So, with a heavy heart, she passed her assessment with flying colours and was named Cinderwisp. The molly believed that the name came from a mix of her mentor’s and the wispy appearance her fur had since it didn’t quite match her personality. For the last two moon’s of her brother’s apprenticeship, she did everything she could to encourage him. 

[18-22 Moons]

During these moons of her warriorhood, Cinderwisp learned more about both her clanmates and herself but the thing she was most proud of was her brother managing himself better. ‘He would get better’ was she told herself. During these moons, Cinderwisp took what she learned from Cinderwhisper and put it to good use, bringing as much fish as she could catch in one patrol to provide for her clan or going on as many border patrols as needed. Thankfully, hunting during this time wasn’t difficult with it being greenleaf. She had to prepare for the coming leafbare though.

[23-27 Moons]

At the retirement of her brother, Cinderwisp couldn’t help but feel a little heartbroken. He had worked so hard only to be shoved into the elders’ den. But she knew he had done the right thing. She vowed to herself that she’d be double the cat she was and support Tangleloon through it all. This event had fueled the fire the molly already had, triggering her to work harder than she already had been. The fire didn’t always burn on the outside though. It was something that burned on the inside. Something she wouldn’t show to just any cat.
