Talongust

SHORT DESCRIPTION WILL BE ASSIGNED BY STAFF FOLLOWING APPROVAL

Talongust was a large, long furred, dark gray mackerel tabby and broken white tom with a very fluffy white tipped tail, one gray eye and one sage green eye, along with big, long, tufted white ears. His paws are also big and more noticeably webbed, as he is half Maine Coone and half Norwegian Forest Cat. He is also broad shouldered and well muscled.

Talongust was a serious, gruff, grouchy, short tempered tom that had pushed other cats away, preferring solitude to a social life. He felt that other cats only meant more hungry mouths to feed during leaf-bare and more troops during battles.

However, he was also kind hearted, especially after getting to know Warblerfern better. Whenever he snapped at somecat, he would try to apologize. Especially since Warblerfern would normally be a bit pouty if he didn’t, since most of the time, she was the one he snapped at since she never left him alone.

Kithood 0-6 moons:

Talongust was born as Talonkit and found that, when he first opened his eyes, he was alone. His father having died before he was born and his mother having died alongside his only sibling due to complications during birth.

Then, one day, Talonkit met Warblerfern, then Warblerkit. She would not leave him alone. She kept asking him to play and talking until it felt like his ears would fall off… He tried to get the small cat to leave him alone, even complied a few times with her requests to play, hoping to get her to go away, but she kept coming back, even when he lost his temper and snapped at her.

Apprenticeship 7-12 moons:

Talonpaw was apprenticed at the same time as Warblerpaw, and ended up having many of his training sessions with her. Talonpaw was great at hunting and fighting, and apparently not that bad at giving advice, given he found a way to encourage and motivate Warblerpaw when she didn’t want to learn how to fight.

Although… stealth was a little hard since he was so large. He got the hang of it before he became a warrior though, even if his stealthiness wasn’t perfect.

Warriorhood 13-32 moons:

Talonpaw became Talongust for his strength and seriousness, and became a warrior alongside the proud Warblerfern. The two had grown close during their apprenticeship, and Talongust had even given up trying to push her away.

Talongust and Warblerfern continued spending time together as warriors, hunting side by side when able to, and whenever Warblerfern couldn’t hunt with him for any reason, he came back to camp with a decent amount of prey for the pile and Warblerfern’s favorite prey, a thrush.

Before long, the two began talking about the future, and eventually, Warblerfern asked him to sire her kits. However, he died of illness a moon before Breezewing, then Breezekit, and he could meet.
