Reedkit

Ever since she had been born, Reedkit was small, much smaller than anyone she saw in her immediate peripheral anyway. This doesn’t cause her problems, nor does it dampen the spirit she wears on her face with a near consistent smile. Her eyes are bright blue much like her paternal grandfather and paternal aunt, of which she wouldn’t get the chance to meet.

While small, her body is a little disproportionate, big paws she is yet able to grow into and a small, almost lithe frame that will grow into something akin to her dam, Cottonbright. However, right now her body is tiny and yet to fill out. 

While her fur is mostly white, a ginger nose blaze brings a splash of color to her face, white for the most part her head had a great majority black and with a smokey appearance to it. One ear is almost completely ginger, and both ears have neat little tufts like her sire. On her body there is only one patch of color, a mix of black and ginger in an asymmetrical spot close to her rear. Her tail is mostly black, with large ginger paths that bring a contrast to the white that covers a majority of her body.

Reedkit’s fur, while soft and plush, is short in length, giving her an appearance of having a sleek tail but a fuller, thicker coat of fur.

From the moment that her personality was able to be seen, Reedkit was always active but blissful. She felt that being still was something that she couldn’t do unless she was sleeping. Almost always on the move, she tends to sit restlessly when she needs to sit for something. However, in spite of her energy, when something captures her attention, she listens. Despite her energy almost always keeping her moving, she soaks in information like moss soaking up water, memorising an elders’ stories or advice from her sire enough to bring it up several days later.

As of the first steps she takes, there isn’t much that Reedkit is capable of doing, but that doesn’t seem to stop her from moving just enough to make an interesting tale to bring back to her mother, of whom she adores and loves being in proximity to in the nursery.

When Reedkit gains more stability in her paws, she will find she enjoys the trill of running laps across camp and finding anyone to chatter to. From the smallest to the largest, from youngest to oldest. She always seems to have something to talk about. However, this doesn’t mean she does not listen. She simply enjoys sharing what she sees, what she thinks and what she feels with others. But that never outweighs consideration for the cats around her, if she notices that one cat prefers not to talk with her, she won’t hesitate to nod on and continue whatever expedition she takes herself on.

Reedkit was born in autumn, alongside her sister, Mallowkit and a brother that she never truly got to meet, as he was stillborn from the moment the litter had been born. Her parentage are cats she treasures always, every waking moment (and then some) are spent with love in her heart for her kin, among her usual ventures. But to her father, there never seemed to be a dull moment when she is around. And that is something she takes a lot of pride in.
