Egretcry

Egretcry was a tom who needed to be mindful of his very large size. He was broad through the chest and shoulders with a balanced, muscular frame. His fur was thick and plush, that faint trace of Maine Coon ancestry showing in the density of his mid-furred coat and the faint ruff that framed his neck. The ticked pattern of his chocolate mink pelt gave him a rich gradient of warm browns and duskier umber shades at his points.

His muzzle was square with a faint slope to his nose and broad whisker pads. His ears were tall and tufted at the tips with a fringed tail. He had round, green eyes that were the color of moss and bore scars along his forelegs and one thin mark just beneath his jaw.

Egretcry was a temperamental tom who had a fierce distaste of non-clan cats, which included kittypets. He was immensely proud of his bloodline, but was able to take criticism if it came from a cat he respected and worked to improve himself. He was adaptable, a trait in which Goldenstar had rewarded with his trust, and found his edges softening once he was mentoring the foundling, Leopardrose.

Egretcry was born as Egretkit to Batswift and Umbersoar, both senior warriors in ThunderClan. He was a sole kit, but no less loved by his parents as he grew with the support of his clan. He had an average kithood, and did well as an apprentice. Despite his size he enjoyed hunting more than fighting and took pleasure in bringing down larger prey items and small predators. He was given his warrior name as Egretcry for his fierce yowls in a Sunningrocks skirmish. He was eventually chosen as Goldenstar’s deputy and given the foundling Leopardrose as his apprentice. Shortly after he was approached by the ambitious Greenfang to sire her second litter, and Oakkit(tall) was born nine weeks later. Egretcry lost his life defending Leopardpaw(rose) and Moosestride(star) from a dog during a patrol.
