Physical Description : | Male Scarlet Tanagers have vivid red to red-orange plumage, with black wings and tail. Their bill is pale and whitish or greyish in color, as are their legs. Females and immature birds are less eye-catching than the males; dull olive feathers cover most of their bodies, although their throat, rump, and undertail are a clearer yellow or yellow-green. Their wings have green edges, but everywhere else are a dusky color that is a mixture of grey, brown, and olive. |

Behavior : | In the months of summer, these cardinals feed during the day among the tree canopies in the forest of ThunderClan, the River Copse of RiverClan, the Treeline of WindClan, and the SouthPlains and Forest’s Edge of ShadowClan. Females build their nests up high in trees, in which they lay one to six eggs in a clutch. Either parent may be seen bringing food to their young once they hatch, or else carrying away in their beak their offspring’s droppings. |
