Bravesong x Orchidflame

While spending a lot of time together, from apprentices, to warriors, to gossipy elders in the ThunderClan elders’ den, Orchidflame and Bravesong had always seemed to get along, and with the need for new kits in ThunderClan. The choice Orchidflame made was simply, to risk herself for the better of the clan as she had no warrior duties to complete, she had nothing in the way of helping the clan in another, perhaps more important way.

She is aware of the risks that could come with the baring of a litter, how many things could go wrong, but it is a choice she is willing to make as the ultimate test of loyalty to ThunderClan, and the cat she chose to sire her litter would not be any other cat than Bravesong. She appreciates his sincerity and enjoys his company more than some may. And with Bravesong longing to be a queen once again, she offered him a place in the nursery with her to assist in raising the kits, she knew she wouldn’t be alone in this. And neither would Bravesong.

  Bravesong finds Orchidflame milling around a stream that flowers smoothly through ThunderClan, admiring the view and the peace it brought, despite the threat of the rogue who they thankfully didn’t encounter. The two speak of fond memories and spend time together, making light jokes and nuzzling together, this showcases their initial relationship and that they have known each other for a long time and are quite fond of one another.

  While sharing prey, the pair begins to chat and further their bond, speaking deeply and embracing each others’ warmth like they were made to. Bravesong speaks of a pleasant dream he had and Orchidflame listens with admiration, with interest and was simply happy to be in his presence. Once the two had finished their prey, Bravesong offers to dispose of the scraps and Orchidflame states she will be there upon his return, keeping a place for him.

  Bravesong runs into Orchidflame voluntarily sorting out the bad prey from the good. The two chat fondly between one another and Orchidflame’s thoughts move to the nursery, knowing that Rimekit would be made into Rimepaw any day and an empty nursery seemed rather daunting to her. She considers it but not aloud, after she makes her decision, she asks Bravesong to meet her at Sunningrocks the following day.

  Orchidflame meets Bravesong at Sunningrocks to discuss him siring her litter, to Bravesong’s surprise. Bravesong worries for his friend’s wellbeing with this decision and Orchidflame assures him that she knows what she is getting into. She promises him that whatever happens it is what she wants and in addition, offers him a place in the nursery with her.

Bravesong’s acceptance of the siring happens the day of the mating and Orchidflame is thrilled to carry a piece of her friend with her, their connection ever present even when StarClan would make the choice to take them both, though she did hope that StarClan didn’t want them anytime soon.
