Dovethorn is a blue tortie and white she-cat with predominately blue and cream sprinkled intermittently amongst it that she keeps surprisingly tidy. As she has grown, her face has kept the roundness of kittenhood for the most part and she almost seems to have grown into her ears. Her face has a big patch of cream in the middle of her face that starts at the tip of a little pink nose and goes up between her eyes in a little blaze of sorts. The white on her comes in small patches- her chin is white, she has a small white locket on her chest, and her lower belly back by her hind legs is white as well. Her eyes are green and stand out brightly against the mute colors of her coat.

Dovethorn’s moods have always been rather mercurial and shift as fast as she blinks. It can make interacting with her interesting and gauging her moods challenging, but as she’s gotten older, she has gotten better at expressing or not expressing said emotions. She likes to consider herself smart and a fast learner, but she also isn’t afraid to voice her discomfort. Most of the time, she tries to seem calm and relaxed but she can get overstimulated by the physical contact, resulting in her reluctance to physically engage in confrontations. She likes to think her sharp tongue makes up for it and likes to think of Brindlespice as being more the brawn and Larchpaw the heart to her having the brains.

Dovethorn was born the last of four kits- having two brothers and a sister born just before her- to Speckledfrost and Maplesprig on the 7th day of Leopard’s Rest (2019). The first couple weeks after she was born were pretty quiet as she ate and grew beside her siblings. Once her eyes opened up, however, she began her attempts to make her way from the nursery and check out camp life. As much as she instigated exploration and play, she didn’t want to be left out when it came to her siblings. Tigerrush took her and Brindlekit out for an her gathering expedition that she helped on and thoroughly enjoyed. Dovethorn was never considered to have gotten into the usual kit trouble however, so in the end, her kithood was been pretty quiet event wise.

When she hit her sixth moon, she was apprenticed to the young warrior Mistyleaf. Her apprenticeship was pretty dull with three exceptions- one was the loss of her brother Dustpaw in the Moon of Long Sun (2020), the second was the loss of her dame in the Moon of Lion’s Glory (2020) and the third was the clan adopting the rogue kit- Coyotekit, also in the Moon of Lion’s Glory (2020). The last event didn’t really affect her much and it wasn’t long until she approached her warrior ceremony after that. In the Moon of First White (2020), she was given the name Dovethorn for her loyalty and ferocity alongside Brindlepaw who became Brindlespice.
