Physical Description : | The White-crowned Sparrow has a pale gray face, nape, throat, and chest. Its wings and back are streaked with brown and white, and it has a short orange or pink bill. While young, these sparrows sport white and reddish-brown stripes on their head, but eventually develop the adult black and white striped head. |
