Description :

Colt’s Foot is a small plant with yellow flowers resembling dandelions that stand on stems typically between 3 and 11 inches in height. The stems have leaves that resemble the foot of a horse, but do not grow in until after the seed pods have set, and then wither and die by the end of the season.

Properties :

Colt’s Foot is well known for its ability to open the lungs and still coughs. In addition to reducing the swellings of the lungs and throat, when applied externally the plant is effective at reducing swellings.

How to Collect : The roots should be dug carefully, never taking more than half the roots in a growth area so as not to destroy the plot of the Clans. Take care not to keep any that are overly soft or at all worm-eaten.

How to Store : Store in neat piles in a cool, dry place.
