Tiger

Tiger is a white, cinnamon and black tortie she-cat with long, soft fur. She has one pale blue eye and one amber eye. She is blind in her left eye, that is her amber one, and has a scar overtop of it. She has polydactyl paws, all of her four paws having six toes. She is currently slightly undersized for her age.

Tiger is a wary cat that is easily startled. She’s always paying attention to her surroundings and has her guard up. She’s always ready to sink her claws into somecat that looks even a little bit threatening. She has trouble trusting cats, and when included in conversations, she tends to withdraw herself, sneaking away from the gathered cats when she can. However, she finds it hard to sneak away when one cat has pulled her into conversation.

She believes that her personality has always been this way and always will be, however, a part of her thinks that she can still change. The question is, does she want to?

Kithood: 0-6 moons

Tiger was born as Splash to a tortoiseshell she-cat and a light bluish-silver smoke tomcat. She never met her father, but heard a little bit about him from her mother’s rambling. Time passed very quickly, and during all of that time, Splash learned that something wasn’t quite right about her mother. However, the young cat ignored that fact.

At a young age, her mother attacked her, claws unsheathed, blinding the young Splash. Bleeding, hungry, and betrayed, she watched with her one good eye as her mother stumbled away, leaving her far behind. Alone, Splash wandered, soon finding herself in a place called Whitehart.

There, she collapsed, too exhausted to move any further. Emotions welling up inside her, she wondered why her mother had done such a thing to her. Did she do something wrong? Vision going dark, she finally let her thoughts go silent, believing in the end, that her mother had simply betrayed her.

Apparently somecat found her and treated her wound with herbs from a place outside of the small town that they lived in, and taught her how to use them. She stayed with the cat until she healed, but a few moons after, departed for the world outside Whitehart, her once cheerful personality having long since hardened into something more fierce and overly aware.

Adolescence: 7 moons – current

Taking a different name as soon as she stepped into the outside world, Splash named herself Tiger, remembering all of the stories she’d heard from her adoptive mother and the other cats she’d met about their strong, black-striped, and white ancestors. (She did this because she wanted to become stronger and more threatening, and because she thought that her own pelt must have been a bit like a tiger’s.)

Now in a new place, Tiger is learning about her surroundings and enjoying a life away from her horrible former home with her mother. Holding knowledge of hunting, fighting, and medicine, she feels ready for the world outside Whitehart, and whatever it will bring.
