A cream mackerel tabby tom-kit with white paws and copper eyes

Redkit is a creme mackerel tabby tom, with short fur. He takes after his dame in appearance and coloration. All four of his paws have white tips on them, as well as the very tip of his tail. His eyes are a deep copper colour. His nose is a light pink, as are his paw pads.

Redpaw is a quiet and observant cat, who doesn’t shy away from adventure and excitement despite his silent demeanour. He is more than happy to chat and bicker with his siblings but tends to clam up around cats outside of his clan.

He respects the current elders of Shadowclan, to the extent that he is quite close with Hickorystorm. He proves to be a thoughtful cat and is constantly surveying his environment through both sight and smell, often times relying heavily on the latter rather than the former.

Kit: 0 – 6 moons

Redkit was born alongside his brother Dazzlekit in the Shadowclan nursery to Clovershine. At birth, Redkit barely had a personality beyond a habit of staring blankly at cats. This quirk developed into a friendly, quiet cat who watches everyone around him with rapt attention. Despite being quiet, Redkit wasn’t introverted. He enjoyed spending time around others and was more than willing to talk and joke with others. In that way he takes after his sire, Cloudflare. However he also can be more than happy to sit in silence, and watch the world go by.

On the Moon of Lion’s Glory (’20), Redkit didn’t care to notice the addition of a new kit to the nursery. He has been happily asleep the night that Murkkit was brought back to the camp and isn’t one to question when a good thing shows up. He doesn’t quite grasp that Murkkit isn’t his biological sibling.

Redkit gained a ‘cat watching’ companion as he and Hickorystorm discussed the different cats passing through the camp, and the nature of the 9 lives of their leader Palestar. Redkit was pretty impressed with the elder, and decided that he wanted to be able to tell cats apart without seeing them as well.

He also participated in escaping the camp with Murkkit and Dazzlekit, which ended in Murkkit being bitten by a snake and Dazzlekit killing the snake after Redkit blinded it. The three kits were very proud of their accomplishments, but were scolded upon returning to the camp with the body.
